Workshop : FRIGATES

Franco-Indian reaserch bridge Worrkshop on GaN HEMTS  and  Electronics Switch

The Franco-Indian Research Bridge workshop on GaN HEMTs and Electronic Switch (FRIGATES) will be held at the XLIM Research lab in Brive-La-Gaillarde, France, from July 7th to 9th, 2026 with 60 participants. FRIGATES 2026 will be a two-and-a-half-day series of oral and poster presentations. There are two invited talks given by world-leading distinguished speakers Dr. Srini KAVERI from CNRS and Prof. Nandita DasGupta from IIT Madras – India and 33 high-quality regular papers. This three-day workshop is a forum for promoting, discussing, and spreading ideas in the fields of nonlinear RF devices, circuits, and systems. The workshop aims to build on the existing research collaboration between Indian and French experts and to identify new areas of mutual interest that could serve as the basis for future collaboration between academic and industrial sectors in this domain. It is financially sponsored by public institutions such as CNRS, University of Limoges, XLIM, and by local and international industries, such as Keysight Technologies, MACOM, PRÂNA, Teledyne, UMS, and WUPATEC.

The technical content addresses key facets of GaN and III-V semiconductor technologies. It covers material physics and environmental robustness to advanced circuit design, thermal management, packaging, and next-generation applications in 5G/6G, defense, and healthcare. An industrial exhibition will also be held. Furthermore, the second day of the conference will feature an interactive forum led by Dr. Eric Leclerc from UMS, titled « How do we ensure across the RF/microwave value chain measurement coherence from wafer to system: shared challenges and responsibilities. »

There is no registration fee to attend, but the number of registrations is limited.
